How do you Veg out?

The Vegemite Census has captured the imagination of people everywhere, with more 100,000 people across Australia registering their favourite ways to eat Vegemite.

The results reveal the most popular Vegemite spreading techniques in Australia.

And so far, the data shows people are mainly “Streakers” (spreading a thin layer of Vegemite on toast with butter) and that the least popular method is the “dunker”, someone who likes to dunk toast strips of Vegemite soldiers into a boiled egg.

The most popular types of Vegemite eaters are the "Vegecadoer" (those who enjoy Vegemite and avocado on toast) and the "Edger" (those who spread their Vegemite to the edges of the bread or toast).

Others include the “Nudists” (those who enjoy their Vegemite on toast without butter) and the "Tiger Toasters", who like grilled cheese layered over their spread.

The website also asked people to list their unique ways of enjoying their Vegemite, and there were some bizarre responses.

They included: with white chocolate or raspberry jelly, on a sandwich with crushed walnuts and/or corned beef, in a pancake with maple syrup, on a pizza or in a Vegemite “blast” - on toast with either wasabi or hot chilli sauce.

The census is still running, go to www.howdoyoulikeyourvegemite.com.au or post a comment below to share your Vegemite secrets..

I just wipe some of that black stuff the length of both halves of my toast and I prefer MARMITE, the original beef extract Lol
